The Paraty International Film Festival is a meeting place between cinema and territory
A celebration of diverse perspectives, stories and ways of making cinema, shaped by a curatorial approach that seeks to bring audiences closer to plural and meaningful cinematic experiences.
Our screens bring together different generations, languages and perspectives. Works by established filmmakers meet emerging directors, new voices and stories waiting to be discovered.
More than presenting films, we want to create encounters. To bring cinema closer to people, inspire new perspectives, develop audiences and broaden access to the cinematic experience.
It is in this connection between cinema, culture, education, territory and community that the essence of the Paraty International Film Festival lies.
